Task topics are instructions, often a series of numbered steps, that a user performs to reach a specific outcome. Task topics can include when to perform the procedure, who should do the procedure, any ramifications that result from doing the procedure, all necessary prerequisites, how long the task takes to perform, and any tools that are required. In many projects, you'll find that the bulk of your topics are task topics. It is common to keep task topics focused on the procedure at hand, but to include links to other types of topics that provide greater context or more information (such as information or reference topics).
Include a sentence that explains why the user would want or need to perform the task before listing the steps to do the task. This gives the user some context and assures them they are in the right place.
Give the procedure a heading and assign it a low-level heading style (such as Heading 4 or 5). For example, write:

Third step
Fourth step
Fifth step
Include appropriate links to other topics by writing a list of links or by adding a related topics button:
